The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ronald Orr can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

We were so sorry to hear about your Dad. I will always remember our family times together, and even though I have lost touch with you there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you all. Love always, Elizabeth and Ken

Although it had been many years since I saw Uncle Ron, I of course have very clear memories of him: crazy uncles have an important role to play in everyone's childhood. I remember his good humour, his teasing, his practical jokes from times when he was in Unity working with Dad on autobody and from visits to Invermere. As I read through the stories about Uncle Ron, I was struck by how many mentioned dancing, and I remember dancing with him at Leslie's wedding, which must have been one of the last times I saw him. He really did enjoy a whirl on the dance floor. Leslie, Curt and Derek, I extend my sincere condolences on the passing of your dad.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your Father and my Brother Ron. The illnesses Ron endured for a big part of his life were taxing on his body. The later part of his life which I didn't realize until now had to be very difficult indeed. Although He should have had more years to enjoy here, the body finally had to give in and free the soul. May He rest in peace.

I was rons (brat) little sister as I got named Being he was somewhat older then me, I never got to know my brother until later on. My first memorable visit was at Althalmer That's when the river claimed their home and shop below. We moved to higher ground where a new home was almost ready. Things were put into high gear. Through years Ron would stop for quick visits. I loved the wit, humor and that special laugh. One Christmas he joined us. Aunts uncles kids siblings . It was fun. One thanksgiving he called and asked "What are you feeding me". It was a super time. Lorne always enjoyed ,Ron stopping at Dairy Queen for coffee through the years. He was always coming and going in and out of my life. Now he is gone but not forgotten. Love the Brat. Forever. Linda

We are sorry to hear of Ron's passing. Although we lost touch with him for the last few years we always hoped to reconnect with him. We shared many great hunting, fishing and camping times with him and have many fond memories.

I exist because you were. I have the gift of my amazing sons, Jamie and Cameron because I exist. And though we did not spend our time together and traveled different paths , there was never a moment that I didn't love you.
