Obituary for Shirley Mae Finkbiner (Ramsay)

Shirley Mae Finkbiner (Ramsay)
Finkbiner, Shirley Mae
December 2, 1933 – November 29, 2017

Shirley Mae Finkbiner (nee Ramsay) passed away on November 29, 2017 at the age of 83.

Shirley was a beautiful soul, a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Shirley was lighthearted and fun-loving, always ready for a joke, card game or to wager a bet. She was the life of the party. Shirley bowled and curled but especially loved golfing and was an excellent golfer. Shirley was the heart and breathe of our family. She brought everyone together with her amazing meals. She will be forever in our hearts.

Shirley is survived by her husband Wayne, the love of her life for 60 years; her children Tracey (Dave) Sereda, Darren (Liz) Finkbiner, Nadine (Harvey) Klukus; her grandchildren Tyson, Bailey (Lucas), Leah (Graeme), Jana (David), Alex and Rachael. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Mary and Ernie, and twin infant brothers. Our heartfelt sincere thanks to Dr. Melling for over 30 years of care and to the Pulmonary Department at the Rockyview Hospital, Dr. Kristin Fraser, Dr. Roman and staff.

As per her wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Shirley may be made to The Lung Association (www.ab.lung.ca) or to a charity of choice.
