October 3, 1964 - February 8, 2018
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas James Blanchette, affectionately called Bee by his wife, and Doug by his friends, on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Always a friend to small children and animals, his wildly inappropriate sense of humour and love of learning will forever be missed. Doug lived by a simple motto: “I will find a way or make one.” To the end, his energy and intelligence made the universe a brighter place.
Doug is survived by his mother Dena (nee Titsing), his brothers Kevin and Ron (Shannon), his wife Stephanie (nee Sutherland), his son Cordell (Jordan), his daughter Santana, and his beloved dogs, Stonewall and Ren.
In lieu of flowers, please hug a puppy.
A Celebration of Doug's Life is being planned. Details will be updated once confirmed.
